Inching Forward

I admit that I’ve been cheating on my poor old blog by frequently commenting all over political blogs. The push for a more equitable health care system has been taking up a lot of my mental energy of late as I followed the news and opinion sites, frequently voicing my own opinions on the matter. For the record, I’m guardedly optimistic right now about the whole thing. It’s not the system I would have chosen considering that fact that I support a socialized system of health care as the only solution that will help the maximum amount of people. That said, this is a good first step on the road to that system.

Now on to more spanko related items.

SSNY had a party on Saturday night as prelude to their Boardwalk Badness weekend in April. As always, it was a fun event and although not as packed as it gets on occasion, a very manageable and fun crowd was on hand to smack or be smacked (or both). Boardwalk Badness is going to be fun and I look forward to enjoying myself thoroughly there with my wife and many good friends by my side. I’ve heard many good things about the newly renovated hotel and am particularly thrilled that no one will have far to walk to get to the Tropicana Hotel & Casino for some gambling, shopping or whatever. I think there are a few days left to register for the party if you are so inclined so hop to it if you have not already done so.

I want to give a brief shout-out to the folks in San Francisco where a new group had their first ever spanking event. I followed the proceedings on Twitter and it seems that it was quite a success which is good to hear. With all these spanking groups popping up all over the country and the world, no spanko would ever need to go on a strictly vanilla vacation again. I’m just waiting for a spanking group to throw parties in the south of France or on Spain’s Gold Coast. I can dream.

Other upcoming events of note: OTK Night at Paddles on April 3rd with the ever popular OTK Night Munch at the Moonstruck Diner (23rd St. & 9th Avenue in Manhattan) at 5:30pm. Things have been picking up lately at both the munch and at OTK Night as more people venture out again. I don’t know if the economy had a lot to do with it or if it was just the winter that ran people down but it seems that the crowds are starting to show up again. As always, the more people that show up, the better the chance that one can scratch their spanko itch.

MSA is having their party on the evening of April 10th as yet one more prelude to the summer spanko season. MSA has settled into a really nice and comfortable location with plenty of rooms for private, semi-private or public play — or just a place to hang out and talk. You can easily contact them, especially on Fetlife, by searching for the Manhattan Spanking Association group and contacting its founder, Jesse.

Will I update this blog more often now that my political bowl game is over? Will I concentrate on another blog that might or might not be about Star Trek? Who knows and who cares. I’ll do my best.

  1. Because of family obligations, I won’t be able to make it to the April OTK night. I am hoping to make it MSA on the 10th of April…I have to see if I can get someone to work for me on the 11th.

“Who knows and who cares?” This is my new philosophy, Rad. I will MAYBE see you at the MSA party, but I will hopefully be on your dance-card for the Boardwalk Badness Weekend.
